Italy — Italian singer-songwriter Marco De Luca has released LA STAGIONE DECISIVA, a new eight-track album marking the fourth full-length work of his solo career following STANZE REMOTE (2006), Due (2008), and Canzoni inedite (2012).
Characterized by a stronger presence of keyboards and psychedelic rock influences, LA STAGIONE DECISIVA represents a sonic evolution from the darker new wave and guitar-driven atmosphere that distinguished earlier recordings. The album combines newly written material with three revisited compositions originally connected to the repertoire of De Luca’s former band, Sine, active until 2000. The tracks VIDEOSPAZZATURA, IL MOSTRO, and UN UOMO GENTILE have been rearranged and integrated into the broader sound identity of the new release.

Entirely written, arranged, and recorded by De Luca in a studio setting, the album presents a thematic exploration of social tension, exclusion, fear, exploitation, and conflict. Through symbolic narratives and introspective songwriting, the work examines some of the darker dimensions of contemporary society.
Opening track VIDEOSPAZZATURA addresses the commercialization of human suffering through sensationalist television culture and media exposure. IL MOSTRO focuses on fear generated by ignorance toward what is perceived as different, reflecting on intolerance and racism.
LA FESTA tells the story of a young girl isolated and mocked by her peers, while ALLA DERIVA portrays individuals living on the margins of society, disconnected and forgotten. 15 ANNI examines the exploitation of minors, and UN UOMO GENTILE reflects on the experience of kindness within an increasingly harsh social environment.
The album also includes ASPIRANTI MODELLE, a track centered on the vulnerability and exploitation surrounding the world of prostitution, while closing composition IL GIORNO turns attention toward the devastation and human consequences of war.
With its mixture of psychedelic textures, reflective lyricism, and socially focused themes, LA STAGIONE DECISIVA continues Marco De Luca’s artistic exploration of identity, conflict, and human experience through alternative rock songwriting.
